​On March 11, 2025, AEK Betsson BC clinched a significant 84-77 victory over FIT/One Würzburg Baskets at SUNEL Arena, securing their spot in the FIBA Basketball Champions League quarterfinals. ​

The game commenced with Würzburg dominating the first quarter, leading 34-19. However, AEK adjusted their strategy in the subsequent quarters, outscoring Würzburg 20-14, 20-17, and 25-12, respectively.

Hunter Hale was instrumental for AEK, contributing 23 points and six rebounds. Grant Golden also delivered a strong performance with 13 points and seven rebounds. ​

This victory maintains AEK’s perfect record in Group I, leading with a 4-0 standing, while Würzburg holds a 2-2 record.  Advancing to the quarterfinals, AEK continues their pursuit of the FIBA Basketball Champions League title, showcasing resilience and strategic prowess.​
